why reboot for an auidence that never knew what it was....
16 November 2019
The 2nd reboot of a 1970's tv show...why do they think todays auidence will like a movie that most of them never knew was a tv show...really 20-30yr olds never heard of the show....your trying to make a hit out of a title they are unaware of....too much glam not enough story and perdictable plots....reboot something from their time not 50's olds

Decent but annyoying
27 October 2019
I wrote this because i found the Tom bateman character is terriable..his "american accent" is painful to listen too and ruins the movie for me..Also the Emmy Rossum charcter goes nowhere...it seemed interesting but they just take it to a dead end...other than that another box of popcorn revenge liam nielsen movie...that tom bateman accent haunts my nightmares...ugggg

not typical Tarantino movie
2 September 2019
My first pont is i belive Brad Pitt will recive an Oscar nomination for this movie...This is an all Dialog film very little action.Actually Margot Robbie barely speaks..maybe 20 lines total and not until 70% of the movie in....But it shows how cruel and unforgiving Hollywood was to some of its best stars.Reguardless of what they did in the past its what are you doing for us now.

Some mistakes..theres no fried chicken in the wild west..a scene just before the duel..dicaprio is eating fried chicken..it dident exist in the wild west.

Also one of the Italian directors name was the same name as one of the charcters in Inglourious Basterds the fake italian names used in the theater..its quick...pay attention

Over all i enjoyed the film walked away feeling like i saw something really good..brad pitt oscar nomination

Hellboy (2019)

Decent Enjoyable but not great
5 August 2019
One can see what Hellboys creator Mike Mignola wanted..more violence more gore..which makes this different,it dosent have the creative style of Guillermo del Toro but it has alot of dark mystical stuff you always enjoy from a hellboy movie..it has its flaws but its not terriable as the trolls will make you think...There are really interesting new charcters and Hellboy is a bit uglier that the other films..i think a marriage of both films would make for the ultimate hellboy movie... Ron Perlman should always be hellboy this film would have done better with Ron Perlman.....has anyone ever thought of a hellboy curse...the actess from the 1st two movies all fell into issues..Anna Walton/Princess Nuala Stopped making movies soon after hellboy 2...Biddy Hodson/Ilsa Haupstein stopped being an actress right after hellboy...and Selam Blairs got MS....

A film with Blinders on
14 August 2018
The thought of a Morrissey film sounded good, but after the film ended very open ended and lacked any Smiths music..I was disappointed,There is always more to any persons life then being one dimentional and this film shows him that way..flat paper thin...there was much to how scenes were presented or framed..shot straight forwardly and simple....It wasenrt very introspective on the workings of a young artists mind..his sexuality, his place wintin the world he was born...i hope someone comes along has a sense of art and makes a film with more smiths music...Not focus on fame or money or sucess the artist mind his place in the world..

Replaces fact with folklore
1 August 2017
I do find moments of this show interesting and enjoyable, there seems to some scripting.Faking paranormal sticks out like a sore thumb and there are hints of it here.

I frown upon the all mighty psychic medium who claims to have powers to cast away curses and demons,The whole idea that some ghost "never walked the earth in human form" its a hard pill to swallow,They cant prove that or even disprove it

To me a demon is like an angry grizzly bear,a simple growl or saying demon doesn't cut it with me ,Anybody can do that.

Nick Groff built his reputation on facts and evidence here there more speculation then investigation.

Whenever paranormal investigators cannot explain something they turn to folklore to fill in the gaps rather then say I cant explain it...

There's just too much focus on the cast overreacting to something then actually showing us what their experiencing ..too much presentation rather then investigating

An interesting but somewhat predictable
21 May 2017
First the fact that this movie as not in 3d was disappointing and confusing,Its a summer blockbuster and it opened after guardians of the galaxy and the 3d in that was awesome...Ridley Scott can be brilliant and always makes these huge dumb mistakes everyone can see...the story was good and the visuals great..but everyone was thirsting for was who these aliens race really were, that was the big question everyone wanted answered but you wont get one...I found its very enjoyable but the ending was predictable..its a cool scifi horror film and with no 3d its gonna be a cheaper night at the movies..go see it

Visually stunning
4 April 2017
For those who feel in love with blade runner and have seen so many films try and recreate that world,This one does it the best.Every inch of this movie is interesting,it has a sensory overload feel..It also make great use of 3D,so many directors don't know how to use the 3d and use it here and there just to throw stuff at you..here you bathe in it.They ought to do a best 3d award since it is an art-form and so many never get it right...The story is original enough to keep your interest.Michael Pitt has a great character and I always enjoy beat takeshi.so if your looking for 1:45 Min's of just a cool fun 3d ride this is for you...

Jokes only Birders get
11 February 2017
1st bird watching is an old term and most birders dislike the term because birding requires hard work. The good birders are hikers up to 5 hrs a day and to photograph them requires years of skill building. Many hunters who switched to birder will tell you photographing them is more skillful then hunting...Birderng should be bird hunting you just don't kill it when you find it.

This move was clearly written by birders or know birders because everything avid birders experience is in the movie. They miss a few points like bug bites(it was mentioned) and birders do enjoy the scenery and often relax and take it in...

This is a funny movie but you really have yo know birders to fully enjoy it if you do the movie is hysterical...

too many cliche's
28 January 2017
If you've been to the movies in the last 10 years there are certain ideas that repeat themselves,,the car that wont start as the villain approach's,The room is collapsing gotta get out at the last second, the villain still has one more trick up their sleeve..etc...their all in this movie..every tired, old, over used film idea all presented the same old way that every other film has..Im sure they said this move is about fast paced action..but so have many films been like that..you have to try harder, try something different...not a great movie not terrible either and no one got naked..really..all the other cliche's but not that one...

Needed a better ending
24 December 2016
First I would say good job to the previews for leading me in another direction different than what the actual story line was...

There is a huge under-story here about time that does not resolve itself well..There was a great opportunity to dwell on it but it went the cliché way..(What filming a movie remember thousands were made before this one ..do something different)

The film is glossy well made with cool effects(pass on the 3d because not much was done with it)

It went along well but then became a bit dull. They the vastness of space the themes of life beyond your generation and they only touch on them..the ending..without spoiling it,is a let down..more should have been done...And also its seem the song blue moon station by solar fields gets ripped off here

Has the original Star Wars feel
18 December 2016
First I am an original star wars fan,I was there in 1977 in the theaters when Star Wars opened.I saw the film countless times and bought all the toys.It funny to me people old enough to be my kids are so passionate about these films but for a person like me who saw it from the start, the last 4 films have fallen short of capturing that feeling I got back in 1977 but this film brought it back.

The main thing that went away in the more recent star wars film is the grittiness and edginess of the original 3.Lucas wanted to show off his new tech and made the sequels too glossy and wrote them for an audience that he thought was 12 years old(he keeps referring to them as kiddie movies and wrote them that way)

This movie has that grittiness that edge the original moves had,it does no over explain everything (again the Lucas style). It knows the audience is fully aware of the characters and know every aspect of them.It was made for a star wars savvy audience

Its a harsh movie, its brutal at times and has humor all well worth your time. The originals like me will get that feeling back that was lost in the last 4 films..

Decent with a few good laughs...trolls attacked it
17 July 2016
First .Don't pay extra for 3d there's hardly any in it...The trolls really came out hard against this one.Of all the remakes this one really got them so angry. Don't let the immense amount of trolls who reviewed this movie set you off it...You think all the bad writing in star wars might get their goat more so why did ghost busters get them so mad.Ill bet none of them are old enough to have seen the original in the theaters. It is a good movie not great..just good..kids will enjoy it..people who never saw the original ghost busters will enjoy it...Its a box of popcorn movie.Fun and enjoy it..too many haters out there..The cameos are fun too..my audience enjoyed it

Roadies (2016)
6/10
A bit dated
7 July 2016
As someone who has been in the world of roadies personally..it falls short..roadies with regard to big acts are largely ignored. The big acts don't even know them..only the smaller acts and the older bands appreciated them,They are underpaid and over worked....But the problems with the show is too many dated references..If you asked a 20yr old who is Freddy Mercury, Elvis even David Bowie they are most likely to say who...? Roadies today were born long after they died..they don't discuss old acts..

don't find a show about them that interesting..unless they show how poop on by big names they really are..Cameron Crow is putting his taste in music here...Music he likes and thinks is good but it wont translate to everyone

A good show would show the big disconnect between that era and this...how they were real musicians and the ones today are not...i think this might be a one season show...

Showing The USA were it went wrong
18 February 2016
Anyone one voted under a 7 did so out of a bias anger..What this movie shows it how The USA attitude of were are the greatest county in the world just isn't true anymore. The basic things..Diet,education,Health Care..The Justice system has all failed in the USA.We simply do not have the best of any of these things anymore...I don't understand how this movie is sailing in under the radar with out much publicity..I was alone in the theater when I saw it,that is no one else was there..it was empty.I thought I might get bored but found myself amazed by what I was seeing.I wanted to run out and tell everyone what I just saw.I would like to make this point I work at a USA college admissions office..Once in awhile someone would come in saying they had a college degree in another county could they transfer any of it here..it was always met with a resounding "no"..I asked why..do they have less elements on their periodic table? it made no sense and seemed to boil down to not spending money here in the USA..I had the privilege of going to a small catholic grade school where little old Italian ladies made us lunch everyday..So I always ate well..somehow in the years since that went away...who knows why..

a fun spin on zombies
6 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Anyone who rated this below a 6 watched the movie with complete bias. This being the first period zombie flick was a good start. It stays from standard walking dead themes and stays with the original themed zombie's...Zombies only wanting brains...It also left a few unanswered questions..The zombie mother never quite explained...Sam Riley and his Raspy voice delivers a good performance ,he has the making of a film icon. You can see the early stages of that developing in him...He just needs that iconic role..Emma Greenwell of Shameless fame goes almost unrecognizable in her small role here. The almost too pretty Bella Heathcote Is always a treat no matter what movie she is in...Over all this is a solid fun and enjoyable zombie flick with Victorian themes poured in...

not that bad
20 January 2016
As far as horror movies goes this one is not bad..The theme of the suicide forest is intriguing. The stranger in a strange land them works well here.the film avoids most of the horror clichés.

It has plenty of creepy moments and you'll jump a few times. The production is high and Natalie Dormer gives a good twist on the scream queen ..Her character is not dumb repeating cliché lines and behavior..The questions that run though your head her character answers. The film has a dark ending and is not fairy tale at all..I don't understand why its so poorly rated its not that bad...its a good scary movie.....

has flaws
20 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
OK my big issue with this and all the newer star wars film in over explaining everything...We got loud and clear it was han solos son...but what do they they over explain it..Haaannn sooolo..We are not 8yrs old..Do they not understand that all the original star wars films have been put under a microscope and every second of every film has been analyzed...We can figure things out...hello "Lawrence Kasdan" we get it..!!!....its a sign of a bad film when they over explain everything...My other issue is General Hux was way too young..a 20 something general...come on.....OIther than that there is just to much of revisiting the original star wars elements...thus the cantina scene..can we please see something new something we have not seen before...stop reliving old stars wars ideas and create new ones...we know were are watching a star wars film you don't need to remind us of the original over and over...lastly the Frankenstein way they try and connect the whole story...we are not gasping in amazement..we going DUH!!!thats dumb........One last thing when every character first appeared they were meet with applause..except Luke skywalker...the graying bearded Luke..was a shock to my audience..sorry everyone people age..its called life...

Falls slightly short
14 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
First all the Charlie brown TV shows were pretty weak story wise..this has a bit more to it and has moments of genuine Charlie brown feelings but it has issues..For instance the red head girls face is hidden for 95% of the film..why? was it suppose to be suspense? it made no sense...then again the same people who keep making films of that stupid squirrel chasing but never eating the acorn, not funny just frustrating..the rascal behavior of snoopy and Woodstock shows up late in the movie when t should and been first...My big issue is they failed via the art work and back grounds, they were uninspired and too basic..Charlie brown should be a festival of color and music, the music standards here are barely touched on..the theater I was in was packed but only a few chuckles were heard here and there.......my advice wait for red box and fire the idiots who keep making those squirrel chasing the acorn movies...just eat the dame acorn already its not funny its frustratiningi

Too much attention on popularity
5 February 2015
My main issue with this documentary is its complete focus on only the most commerically successful aspect of vangelis.Vangelis has never been a commerical artist, never a top forty kinda of guy.He has largely been

avant garde,His most definitive album "heaven and hell" is bearly mentioned in this,5 albums with jon anderson only mentioned in passing...Voices not mentioned at all..Many bio picts of musical artist focus so much on their success, the best sellers and they always miss the artistry what people really like about them...There is a lot of mystery involving his early solo work and its never explored here..But the scenes of his solo playing is very good..really good stuff..if you can make a documentary and look past fame and success and see the artist, the musician ,the person it would be so much better..thats a good documentary ..fame passes, money passes the music, the man remain...so the point is missed here

not bad could have been better
6 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
When making a horror movie you should always consider the history of all horror movies that have come before...if you don't..you'll make a bad movie and it will flop...One of the first things if are your characters annoying..the britsh accent on the camera guy drove me nuts,he sounded like a cartoon...the female reported was clearly British doing an American accent...why not just be British..? it works..Over the paceing was rushed made lines confusing first sign you in a bad movie....But it had some genuine scary moments and an interesting story line..Not to mention Ashley Hinshaw..whos worth watching in anything bad or good but thats me...this movie will likely flop and will make a good redbox movie night...when you get the green light to make a movie..consider all the horror films that came before you,the successful ones and the flops...and make a better movie

Constantine (2014–2015)
5/10
lacks depth,lacks intrigue
2 November 2014
Yet another attempt at bringing a movie/graphic novel to life..this one without the elements that made it popular in the first place...The idea of Constantine as a series is a good one..but it must match the style and moody world it already established..this does not If you enjoyed the movie you wont enjoy this...

Constantine is played without depth..without being dark & mysterious..and British..? if they did not call it Constantine (they actually should have not)you would not know what this show is ...Its shot average, very little style, not dark or brooding..a run of the mill paranormal show...i see a cancellation in its near future

A bit childish
11 March 2014
Sorry I was disappointed by the first episode,Firstly it cover ground/information already covered 1,000 times by other discovery channel shows. If I never saw any discovery channel shows I would have liked it.It needs to be more original. My second issue is it talked to me like I was a child,It felt like I was being talked down too. Believe it or not we can understand a lot more science then you think we can,The animations were cheap and amateurish......I expected the show to be about all the new information about space, planets etc..that we have learned since the last show aired and this would all be done with state of the art animations, effects even in 3d..so far it feels like a Saturday morning show on some odd sketchy channel....
