Kevin Porter : [to Justin] As long as you don't miss any more of the semester and you sign up for summer school, I think I can help you get you the credits you need so you can graduate with your class barely.
Justin Foley : Thank you.
Kevin Porter : Can you get your shit together? Can you get the grades?
Justin Foley : Yes.
Kevin Porter : Spoken to your mother since you've been back?
Justin Foley : I don't know where she is.
Kevin Porter : Bullshit. I visited her last week. And I know she's staying at the house her boyfriend used to cook in till he had to take it out of town.
Justin Foley : How do you even know about...?
Kevin Porter : I know that you're staying with Clay Jensen now. So, what is your plan, long-term?
Justin Foley : I'll find a job, find a place. I'm used to being on my own, okay?
Kevin Porter : And how has that worked out for you, being on your own? Justin, I'm not gonna be at this job much longer and whoever replaces me is gonna want you back at your mom's house.
Justin Foley : I've got it handled, Porter. Thanks.
[starts to leave Mr. Porter's office]
Kevin Porter : Sit.
[Justin sits back down]
Kevin Porter : Listen. This is gonna be hard for you and you need to let people help. And you need to let go of your past wrongs and figure out what can you do right. You understand? Justin, take care of yourself.
Justin Foley : Yes, sir. I will.
