Goofs

When the helicopter is landing for the extraction at the end of the episode the sound heard as it touches down is that of a turbine engine winding down, something that would only be heard if it were being shut down. With the rotors at full speed there would actually have been no decrease in the sound of the engine as they were kept running in order to provide pitch for lift off. See more »

Oh Come On!

Okay, so this is a work of fiction and doesn't pretend to show how things really are....or does it? As a story, it's okay - if you don't mind the usual "US is all heart and lies/disobeys orders to show their humanity and rescue innocents" - but then why is the story all about real-ish places and real geo-political events?

We're expected to go along with the idea that it's okay for US forces to invade another country, take sides with extremists/jihadis against its legitimate government and butcher soldiers who are simply conscripts doing their best to defend their country against terrorists - and foreign aggressors like Uncle Sam.

Sorry, I only made it to Episode 2 of Series 1 - this kind of gung-ho and simplistic propaganda MAY appeal to juveniles and the none-too-bright among us but can't the writers produce something for the thinking grown-ups?
