Obsessed with female assassins, Eve has formed an investigative dossier on her own and has connected all to one unknown female assassin. Unbeknownst to Eve, she actually meets her antagonist while on guard duty for the only witness. Failure to save the witness results in Eve being fired by MI5, only to have another opportunity knock on her door for her personal obsession to become a reality. Meanwhile, Villanelle (the assassin) learns of Eve and her new task force. Though warned off by her handler not to touch either, she has the impetus to ignore these orders, as she is quite a psychotic yet brilliant assassin. Written by sscialli

At or about 0:33 Villanelle and Cesare Greco are standing face-to-face. Villanelle reaches up with her right hand, thumb down, to the bun on the back of her head. Cut away to Villanelle removing the hair pin from her hair with her right hand, thumb down, nearer the point of the hair pin and little finger nearer the plunger end of the hair pin. Cut away to Villanelle plunging the hair pin point into the left eye of Cesare Greco with her right hand and pressing the plunger with her right thumb. There was no opportunity to rotate the hair pin to accomplish this change in grip. See more »

Konstantin: Three days ago, one of Moscow's most controversial politicians was found professionally murdered in a pretty street in Vienna. Very good. The murder took place in a CCTV blind spot. Also good. The politician's girlfriend was reportedly with him while he died. Fine. And was not harmed. Not so good. She is currently in London where she will be interviewed as a principal witness to the murder. Bad. Which will take place tomorrow. Very bad.
Villanelle: Have you had a haircut?
Konstantin: Yes.

That's how to start a show!
13 October 2018 | by Sleepin_DragonSee all my reviews

There have been some great drama serials on the box over the last few years, but the first episode of any of them, be it innocent, keeping faith, hidden etc is always a slog, there seems to be a habit of starting off with a lame, slow episode, no such problems here. Part one was huge, gripping, intriguing, within five minutes I was hooked, the story is superb, the characters are sensational, I can't remember the last time I got into a serial so quickly.

Jodie Comer as always was terrific, I'm sure we'll get to see her character become even bigger and bolder, awards will follow I'm sure. Sandra Oh equally fantastic, I'm not sure if it was the writing or her acting, but I instantly warmed to her character, again terrific. When you see Fiona Shaw in something you just know it's going to be quality, tremendous actress, one who only seems to accept plum roles, enough said.

Vibrant, bold, energetic, and a bonus point for having Sonia Eliman (Off their rockers!)

Just brilliant. 9/10
