Did You Know?

In one scene, Keynes mentions that, having read about Kennedy's term as president, the direction in which he took the country runs counter to Rittenhouse's goals, and that they need a president they can control, like Richard Nixon. Given both the set-up of season two (Rittenhouse planting sleeper agents throughout history) and the fact that the Time Team has twice visited time periods in which Nixon was president - the Apollo 11 landing in "Timeless: Space Race (2016)" and during Watergate in "Timeless: The Watergate Tape (2016)" - it's possible, retroactively, that Nixon is under Rittenhouse's control in those two episodes. Wyatt hides behind the corner of an interior wall at the party when shots are fired at him. The bullets penetrate the facing side but he is unharmed. In reality, the drywall would not stop the bullets and he would have been injured. See more »

Emma Whitmore: Things didn't go as planned. They got JFK.
Nicholas Keynes: Did Lucy get involved?
Emma Whitmore: No, I didn't see her there. But they took Kennedy in the Lifeboat. I think he's here somewhere.
Nicholas Keynes: Then find him. From everything I've read, Kennedy galvanized this nation in a direction that runs counter to our goals. We need someone in that Oval Office that we can control. Like Nixon.
Emma Whitmore: I'm working on it.

Timeless made a unique and great episode this week involving the iconic JFK.

Emotions and tensions are also at play here among the team especially with Lucy and Wyatt. As a JFK and Kennedy enthusiast who's enjoyed reading and watching about the family they got their facts right.

What was unique was the majority of the episode was set in the present which is a first for this show. Most episodes have been throughout history while a lot of it was set in the present. It was also rare to have someone from the past return, none other than JFK himself. Great episode however I personally do prefer seeing them travel in the past.
