Very gritty, superbly acted.

You need to give huge credit to Lennie James, firstly for his creative input, and secondly for his acting capabilities. Having watched the first part, I get that he's somewhat of a perfectionist. The attention to detail is incredible, he's written a story about real people, struggling, and having to deal with a horrible crime. The crime is harsh, the atmosphere is dark, but early on clearly it's the characters that are going to make this an impressive series. So many people performing well, but Lennie James is simply captivating to watch.

A great start, I can see this being another series I'm hooked on. 8/10
