Now this is scary. Sarah Paulson is reportedly not going to be starring in FX’s upcoming “American Horror Story: 1984,” per our sister site Variety. However, the door remains open for the “People v. O.J. Simpson” Emmy winner to pop up in a cameo in this ninth installment, which will debut on Wednesday, September 18. Of note, Paulson is the only female actor to appear in all eight seasons so far, with co-star Evan Peters being the only male actor; Peters has also said that he won’t be back for Season 9.

FX’s anthology series “American Horror Story” is going back in time to 1984 for its upcoming ninth installment, which will debut on Wednesday, September 18, the network announced Monday. Besides the premiere date, little is known about “American Horror Story: 1984” except for two previously announced cast members. “Ahs” scene-stealer Emma Roberts is back again after popping up in “Coven,” “Freak Show,” Cult” and “Apocalypse,” while Olympic skier and “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” star Gus Kenworthy joins the franchise for the first time.

Ryan Murphy has revealed casting news for American Horror Story’s upcoming ninth installment. The Ahs series creator broke the news today on Instagram that Gus Kenworthy, Olympic medalist and actor, will join Ahs alum Emma Roberts in Season 9

Murphy posted a photo of Kenworthy with the caption: “That special moment when you realize you have an Olympic medal And will be playing Emma Roberts’ boyfriend on American Horror Story Season 9.”

Pro skier Kenworthy, a silver medalist in the men’s slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, made his TV acting debut in The Real O’Neals on ABC in 2016, followed by Sharknado 5: Global Swarming in which he did a cameo as a skier. He also was a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars.

The ridiculous Sharknado franchise is finally coming to an end with The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is getting into the movie game and is producing his first Hollywood feature. The 50-year-old skateboarder has signed on to producer a comedy titled Back to the Grind, which centers on a group of five middle-aged men who get their old skate team back together in order to prevent their favorite park from being taken over by obnoxious younger skaters. Here's what Hawk had to say about the project in a statement.

"I'm excited to be part of this project, which comes at a time when skateboarding culture is so widely recognized across many generations. 'Back to the Grind' will be a fun, entertaining story that can enhance skateboarding's growing popularity."

The latest in a long string of cameos in the Sharknado franchise is set to be RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Alaska – one of the most popular drag queens in the history of the reality show.

The latest Sharknado movie, set to mark the culmination of the franchise, is called The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time and was announced this week by low-budget production company The Asylum.

SyFy's insanely popular Sharknado series will officially ending with Sharknado 6, which just got the official title of The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. In addition to the title, SyFy also released a brief teaser trailer to get fans excited for the late summer release date. SyFy is going to celebrate the release of the sixth and final movie in the series with an entire week of shark themed programming during what they've titled Sharknado week, which is coming a few weeks after the official Shark Week, so it's like getting two Shark Weeks. Sharknado 6 has a new, official premiere date. It was previously reported that SyFy was planning on unleashing the new installment of the enduring B-movie franchise on July 25. However, the network has now committed to a summer release date for what is being touted as the final installment of the series. Be prepared, as the final Sharknado arrives on Sunday, August 19, just in time to finish out the summer movie season in style, bearing in mind that style doesn't always mean good.
