Will the Force be with him? Mark Hamill may win his first Emmy at last after decades of voice acting
Mark Hamill is best known to fans for playing Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” films, but many other sci-fi and fantasy devotees know him for his decades of work as a voice actor. This year he’s nominated for Best Animation Performer at the Daytime Emmys for his work in “Kulipari: Dream Walker.” This is only the second nomination of his career. Can he finally win?

“Kulipari” is a Netflix animated series set in the Amphibilands, a hidden village of frogs defended by the title characters, an elite group of poison frogs. Hamill is nominated for voicing two characters: elderly frog warrior Old Jir and elderly scorpion Caz. But his biggest claim to fame as a voice actor was as the Joker in “Batman: The Animated Series” and various other animated shows and video games since the early 1990s. He has also been featured in “Spider-Man: The Animated Series,

Where You've Seen A Christmas Story Live's Scene-Stealing Chris Diamantopoulos Before

Image Source: Fox While the whole cast of Fox's A Christmas Story Live brought plenty of holiday cheer into living rooms on Sunday night and generally knocked it out of the park with their performances, there is one character in particular who we couldn't take our eyes off of. Yes, the 11-year-old newcomer who plays Ralphie (Andy Walken) is a dead ringer for the original movie's star Peter Billingsley. And sure, we're still obsessing over Jane Krakowski's Marilyn Monroe moment during the "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out" number. But it's actor Chris Diamantopoulos who really steals the show. Diamantopoulos pops up as Ralphie's cantankerous, leg lamp-loving father, Old Man Parker. Although the character in the 1983 movie, played by Darren McGavin, is a solid stick-in-the-mud, Diamantopoulos gets to have a little more fun with the role when he unexpectedly busts out a pair of dancing shoes for two of the live musical's numbers.

Ubisoft Reportedly Hosting Talks With Netflix For Licensed Series

Presiding over a roster of IP that includes the likes of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs and more, Ubisoft is arguably one of the few video game publishers with the necessary resources to repackage those properties into cinematic blockbusters. It’s a strategy that the French giant plans to go all-in on, too, founding Ubisoft Motion Pictures to help foster the likes of Justin Kurzel’s Assassin’s Creed and a live-action spin on The Division.

According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the company is now “in talks with Netflix over a series.” Word comes by way of a Reuters report, though Guillemot stopped short of mentioning which of Ubi’s franchises are in contention for the small-screen treatment.

With both Assassin’s Creed and The Division headed to the big screen – a Tom Hardy-fronted Splinter Cell movie is also gestating in production – we’re inclined to
