U-boat innovations that were advanced well beyond any other submarine designs of WW2, including the Walter propulsion system, the Type XVII the Type XXI.
This installment of "Nazi Mega Weapons" is about the German submarine warfare program. First, it discusses the history of the program and its exploits. Second, it is about the various models and how each was an advancement over previous models. And, the show finishes by discussing the ultimate Nazi sub--the Type XXI and why it was a case of 'too little, too late'. During the course of the show, you not only see stock footage and hear commentary from various experts but the show visits existing structures that were needed for this massive German program.
Overall, this is yet another fascinating, well written and informative episode of the series. Well worth seeing.
