The biopic depicts Flynn's roust-about early life in Australia, before he became an internationally famed celebrity. In those days he was an adventurer, opium smuggler, gambler, street fighter, womanizer, and gold prospector. The film, based on Flynn's early autobiography "Beam Ends," was written for the screen by Large and Luke Flynn, who found the inspiration as a result of their travels through Australia in the footsteps of Luke's iconic grandfather. Film production will start next July in Australia with a budget of $12 million. The book's title refers to the last visible sign before a ship sinks.
The closing titles mention the term "In like Flynn" but do not give the context. Errol Flynn was able to charm his way into and out of any situation and he had a reputation for being extremely good at it. To be in like Flynn meant to be totally assured of success.
In like flynn, is the story about erol flynn, before he became erol flynn as we old and grey remembers him from the movie theater ,sitting with our lollipops and sixpence, gawping towards the screen, at ,,the super man''.
its a decent story, with quite a bit of fun, excitement, gold, thrills , fights, shouting , drinking and money. its good entertainment from start to end, though you get a feel of low budget product. the timeline is hard to follow. there are some glitches in the backgrounds, with some very modern boat in one shot, and some of the indoor scenes, give you a feeling of a well staged studio light and settings.
but its watchable and not boring at all,, believe me, there are far too much indiana jones, combined with some crocodile dundeeish elements that really makes it recommendable.its a strong 6 from the old grumpy man.
