Goofs

When Jessie tries to start the Chinese helicopter, the sound you hear is not a turbine engine trying to start. What you hear sounds like a reciprocating engine, and when Jessie lets go of the start button, it instantly stops. A turbine engine spools up and spools down. It doesn't suddenly stop. See more »

We need a helicopter

Let's see. We are searching for a 'tough Asian looking woman'... Dichen Lachman! Of course, who else. Maybe Grace Park was busy.

This episode is a very entertaining one, but it kind of continues its head-scratching depiction of Asia. It is like someone found a list with all the stereotypes about Asia and decided to force-feed them to the viewer.

So, Chandler and Sasha are trying to find the crew of the Nathan James, and decide to get the help from Jesse, who seems to have some 'history' with Sasha. At the same time, Peng is annoyed with the USA people and wants Chandler to 'disappear'. And Green and Burk have problems understanding languages. That anyone that knows Japanese can see that the kidnappers are from Japan instead of Vietnam or China (or wherever) make the scenes with them both risible (and some of their commentaries, worth a study).

Cue lots of silly and enjoyable action, things blasting around, the plot kind of just, you know, being there, to justify the action, and acting, direction and everything just in the background, not annoying much, to help the viewer understand who is 'good' and who is 'bad'.
