Back to Paris
28 June 2016 | by tenshi_ippikiookamiSee all my reviews

The bunch is back on the water, Paris in their sights. King Ecbert decides to send his son on a pilgrimage to Rome with Alfred, Athelstan's son.

Not much seems to happen, but this is another good episode for the series, as we keep seeing things developing. Maybe, as the series has become 20 episodes per season instead of 10, story lines are being stretched, but in a moody and full of surrealism show like "Vikings" this is not as bad as it could be, as it gives time to further characterization and relationships. And we have been introduced to new and violent characters, whose personalities are well introduced, from dialogue to actions.

In general, "What Might Have Been" keeps its good quality in all the areas, from pace to acting, not letting the viewer down. We could ask for a faster development, but "Vikings" is going for a slow burner and doing a good job at it.

And Paris is waiting. With Rollo. And his hair.
