"Oh honey bunny, I would destroy you in the best possible way."

As Ruby reappears out of the ashes of a fire (in the nude, no less), the rest of the main cast arrives at the encampment of a militia. In the previous episode, Ash had learned that his old friend Lem (Peter Feeney, the older brother from the Kiwi horror comedy "Black Sheep") had joined this group. So Ash figures that this would be a good place to stock up on weapons. But Lem, now turned into a Deadite, wreaks utter havoc, and for a while, our heroes have to battle the militia while the war with Evil rages on.

This episode is noteworthy for suggesting possible future romantic hook-ups: Pablo and Kelly, Ash and Amanda. To this end, it's rather appealing - and funny, as the incorrigible Ash believes that there's no such thing as a bad time to hit on a woman. Most of the fighting is done with the survivalists this time around, even as the possessed Lem arrives and starts raising Hell. This allows for some wonderful, delicious bloodshed, and again, more humour, as Pablo must steel himself to don the costume of a dead member who'd become possessed. He also tries to figure out what weapon could possibly be *his* trademark.

It's really nice seeing the gang start to really come together, and the actors are all tremendous fun. Bruce Campbell, as usual, tends to get the best lines, but Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Jill Marie Jones all have their moments as well. It's also a joy to see Ash and Amanda work together to both battle Lem and attempt to escape while handcuffed to each other.

Overall, a solid episode, one that continues to keep this viewer anticipating the next instalment.

Eight out of 10.
