Because Sarah Butler starred in the first remake of "I Spit On Your Grave" and me not knowing this installment of "I Spit On Your Grave" had a different director from the first two I went into this one thinking it was going to be as good as the first or at least a little better than the second, I was wrong. While not perfect, the first was an absolute thriller. It had the edge of your seat thrill a horror/thriller should have. To me this installment was different, which isn't a bad thing, but it didn't have that simple straight up revenge is a dish best served cold attitude about it like the first one had. I think in horror/thriller films like these, when you start adding things it takes away from what the film is really supposed to be. If there were more violent and gore revenge scenes it probably would have been a better film. Perhaps they'll make a fourth installment starring Jemma Dallender and get back to the basics.
