John Wick director on the possibility of adding more Matrix stars into future instalments

Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick trilogy, has discussed whether there is a possibility of adding more The Matrix actors, in addition to Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King, in future instalments of the franchise.

In an interview with ComicBookMovie, this is what the director had to say about inserting The Matrix actors such as Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving down the line:

“You know, Keanu and I talk a lot about where we want to go. We didn’t finish John Wick 3 and have this great big plan of how to go into Chapter 4. It’s something we’re constantly thinking about and we try not to force things,” Stahelski said.

“I certainly don’t want to include a cast member to try to get somebody in as a gag and work a story around that. If we create these great characters and you know, in my head, it

With ‘Good Boys,’ Universal Keeps Beating Box Office Slump for Comedy

  • The Wrap
With ‘Good Boys,’ Universal Keeps Beating Box Office Slump for Comedy
Good Boys” was quite a surprise for box office analysts this weekend. Riding off of strong reviews and audience word of mouth, Universal’s raunchy comedy about a group of sixth graders wading into the world of girls and hormones has earned a $21 million opening this weekend, nearly double the $11 million opening set by independent projections prior to release.

“It seems that Universal has cracked the comedy code and thus has been somewhat immune to the movie comedy curse by releasing a steady lineup of original and appealing comedies that have bucked the trend of audience indifference,” comScore’s Paul Dergarabedian told TheWrap.

It’s a win for comedy movies at a time when such success is becoming increasingly rare for the genre. But while other studios have contributed those occasional hits in the last three years — Warner Bros.’ “Game Night” and Lionsgate’s “Madea” series come to mind — the

Midsommar Soundtrack Will Be Released Two Days After the Film Comes Out

Midsommar Soundtrack Will Be Released Two Days After the Film Comes Out
Midsommar, the anticipated film from Hereditary director Ari Aster, is getting a soundtrack release on July 5th from Milan Records. The film, which dives deep into Swedish folklore and a kind of technicolor paganism, asked for a sonic universe that was both insular and oddly timeless-something by turns darkly ritualistic and deeply beautiful. The score created by Bobby Krlic aka The Haxan Cloak, achieves that.

Krlic has been releasing his own often-harrowing electronic music for the better part of the past decade under the moniker of The Haxan Cloak. It was his solo output that led to working with Aster on this new film: Aster had heard Krlic's work and wrote the whole script entirely to his music.

In addition to the more traditional underscore, Krlic was also responsible for the music that exists within the narrative of the film itself, the music that the characters play and sing inside the film.
