If you do as well as Will Ferrell does in movies and Amy Poehler does on T.V. then you can afford to make the mistake of starring in this film
I am starting to realize what modern day slapstick looks like and it turns out I dislike it just as much as any other form of slapstick comedy. Fortunately, The House does not rely too heavily on it. At most times ridiculous, hilarious performances by Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell carried this film to its watchable rating.
