Storyline

Felicity drops by S.T.A.R. Labs to see what they can do about the proper function of boyfriend Ray "The Atom" Palmer's new superhero suit. She distinctively catches a negative vibe stemming from Barry trying to mask his knowledge of Dr. Wells as the Reverse-Flash. Meanwhile, overly toxic killer bees begin killing off robotics scientists, Cisco experiences recollections of things that supposedly never happened, and the Eddie/Iris relationship falters over her sensing he's keeping something from her. It's a Bird, It's a Plane....

The DC TV universe is becoming more and more like a shared universe. We not only have 2, and soon to be 3, shows interconnected, but it's so fluid when it all crosses over. I love the fact that Ray and Felicity can just show up in Central City and it actually makes sense. Sure it wasn't as much of a team up as the fall Arrow-Flash crossover was, but it was a fun time. Unfortunately the rest of the episode was a step back from where the show has been of late.

Starting with the good, Ray and Felicity brought such a fun dynamic to the show. We had an awkwardly funny 5th wheel dinner with Barry, Iris, and Eddie which turned out to set off a chain of events that potentially leads to a break up. Which I have to say, Barry needs to either step in and tell Iris himself or Iris just needs to be a real human being and accept that as a police officer, Eddie cant tell you everything. That's just the way it is. Back to the odd couple, there were a fair amount of innuendos, which is always a funny thing for those two. I loved the "Barry in Oliver's body" line, or the "I'm having trouble keeping it up". It seems like Ray will bring the comedic relief to the spin off show. It also brings into question how him and Felicity will inevitably break up or go their separate ways.

But in terms of Flash, we had a very weak villain this week. The show has always been campy but the whole bee thing was just stupid. We didn't really get to know the 'bug eyed bandit' at all and just throwing her in there as a parallel story to Barry-Dr Wells turned out to be a pretty weak attempt. Speaking of Wells, the team officially knows about him. I hope the show finds a way to keep Tom Cavanagh on the show after he's inevitably defeated. He brings such an ominous feeling to an otherwise really happy show. So even though this episode didn't do a whole lot to further this years storyline it was fun at times and had some great Felicity moments.

+Felicity & Ray's presence

+Everybody knows about Wells

+Feel for Eddie

-Weak villain

-Iris grow up
