James 'Hutch' Hutchinson,
In the 60s, Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson struggles with emerging psychosis as he attempts to craft his avant-garde pop masterpiece. In the 80s, he is a broken, confused man under the 24-hour watch of shady therapist Dr. Eugene Landy.
I was aware of The Beach Boys and had even heard one or two of their songs, but I would never describe myself as a fan. I watched this out of idle interest and was immediately fascinated and captured by the story. It gave me a whole new level of appreciation for The Beach Boys and I'm really glad I watched this. Recommended.
