Storyline

Frankenstein consults a hematologist, Professor Abraham Van Helsing, who finds the blood contains an unique property that prevents complete coagulation. He believes it assists in the eating of blood. Frankenstein begins experimenting on Fenton, the vampire they caught and are keeping in chains. Frankenstein is also having to deal with his creature who wants him to create a female companion for him. Chandler takes Brona to the Grand Guignol theater. Gray is there, as is Vanessa, but it's Chandler he is interested in. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

The music playing during the orgy scene in Dorian Gray's mansion is "Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix," from the opera "Samson and Delilah" by Camille Saint-Saëns, which premiered in 1877. See more »

Goofs

Sir Malcolm mentions that discovering the source of the Nile is a 'holy grail' for explorers. However, the series is set after Jack the Ripper was active (the late 1880s) and the source of the Nile was located by John Hanning Speke in August 1858. An educated man like Sir Malcolm would surely have known this. See more »

Wicked (and "filler" is in the eye of the...)
5 February 2018 | by jobates30See all my reviews

There was a time when we let storytellers tell "their" story's. We went along for the ride. My point is if you want to do the driving, tell for own story. These terms like "filler" should be used for weak storytelling and obvious displays of such. "Demimonde" is a very light to dark transition over the scope of the episode. Well written and paced. It pauses. It breathes slowly. It slaps you in the face a couple of times. Brona, the terrier. It shows Ethan's overwhelming sense of the opposing pressure til it culminates. But then, that's if your actually watching and going along with the story and not just waiting for your expectations to be met. You see you have to care. If you don't, well that's on you as the viewer most times. Well done film artist.
