The BAU travels to Austin, Texas where three separate murders have taken place, the victims being two young women, and one young man. Each was last seen at a large but different social gathering. All three victims were savagely beaten, however the two women were stripped naked, while the first victim, the male, was re-clothed after being beaten while naked. Upon further investigation, they learn the male victim was a closeted homosexual, leading the team to believe that the unsub is a repressed homosexual who murdered the female victims after not being able to perform sexually with them, and murdered the male victim after feeling guilt after having had sex with him. When a fourth victim, another male, is discovered, another emerging piece of evidence is the exact same style men's watch placed on the last two victims, both watches deliberately set at a different time than what is actual. Isabella Grant: I'm done talking.
Aaron Hotchner: You've said plenty. A professional like yourself wouldn't trust the camp to protect you. You had to get some sort of insurance directly from the parents, didn't you? Make sure that they were just as culpable for the crime. Your word against theirs wouldn't hold up in court, not with a child testifying to your abuse. Unless, of course, the abuse damned the parents as well. They were in the room with you, weren't they? You made them watch.

Good solid episode
29 May 2013 | by ronnie_asaSee all my reviews

The episode was pretty good. This isn't the first time the show has done an issue storyline nor is it the first to feature a killer who is sympathetic and a victim themselves. Neither is this the first time where the fate of the killer isn't known, we can assume that the killer will be in prison for a very long time but that doesn't mean that the torturers and abusers at the camp shouldn't be arrested for the crimes they committed. CM has often shown the grey world where sometimes the killer is a victim too such as season 5 episodes "Haunted" and "The Uncanny Valley". Also the "therapy" camp may seem extreme but sadly there are documented cases that make the camp featured in the episode feel sadly very real.

Not the best episode of the season or series as a whole but a very solid episode indeed.
