Storyline

Adrian's drawing leads Linden to a killing ground where the police find a total of 17 bodies. All are of young women - some could be as young as 13 - and Linden, who accepts reinstatement as a detective, is put in charge of identifying the bodies. The coroner can give her little to go on but says it's possible the women were killed in the same way as Ashley Kwan. He can confirm that the women were all killed several years ago but over a short period of time. Since Kwan was held for several days before being killed, Holder begins looking for the missing Kallie Leeds. A distrustful Bullet points him in the direction of Goldie and while they don't find Kallie, they do find that Goldie is involved in kiddie porn. At the prison, Ray Seward has gotten his hands on a razor blade. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

They call the serial killer the "Pied Piper" because of the age of the victims, often teenaged. There is a fictional legend concerning a piper who dressed in multicoloured clothing who led children away from the town of Hamelin only to never return, and thus were thought to have died. This version of the tale was used to prevent disobedience but was transformed into a fairy tale for children. See more »

The Worst Place on Earth
24 January 2017 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

The title of this episode refers to seventeen bodies found in a swamp. It was found by Linden when she looked closely at Adrian's drawing. It is now up to the cops to try to find a killer when the potential victims hate their guts. Holder's partner, a lifer, does nothing but complain. LInden is let back on the force (she still has her license) and is working in conjunction with the other officers. Unfortunately, this leads to lack of sharing of information and following the same leads. At the same time, the guy in prison waiting to die, takes matters into his own hands. The police stake out the guy who raped bullet. He has a place full of child pornography. Lyric continues to turn tricks to supply money to Twitch, her worthless, manipulative boyfriend. At the end of the episode a startling discovery is made by the kids.
