Storyline

Ravi spent his youth lurking on the outer fringes of the Bollywood movie scene but earnestly dreams of becoming a Hollywood film director. He finds funding from an accountant of dubious moral standing to finance his assault on Hollywood. With the assistance of a rapidly expanding entourage, Ravi stands as much chance of achieving his dream of movie glory as anyone and movie audiences will view this non-scripted journey, warts and all, through the hand-held lens of an amateur documentary filmmaker. But when accusations of money laundering and sexual harassment start to fly, Ravi's dream and his sanity start to crumble. Not only that, but all of his hard earned footage from the documentary takes on a different meaning when used as evidence against him! Written by Anonymous

"Flim" great entertainment.
7 August 2014 | by dffwSee all my reviews

This movie is a fabulous watch. Yes and it's even better than "The Office". Great characters and great performances. Very entertaining. The central character is a very likable yet delusional idiot. The story also needed good solid supporting characters that needed to be subtle. This is exactly what the director managed to supply. Just think of how the supporting characters in "meet the parents" were so important to the hapless Greg.

Steve Spielberg proved with his wonderful film "Duel" that a great movie does not require a huge budget. "Flim" has been made on a low budget. This proves that a good story well told (screenplay, acting, directing etc) is all that is required to entertain. "Flim", "Duel" and many other great stories don't need massive budgets. This is called responsible movie making (roughly quoted from Spielberg) and is as important a part of making a movie as writing a good story/screenplay. By the way the music is good too.
