Josh Hutcherson Plays a Janitor/Gamer Who Travels Through Time To Save Humanity in Funny Trailer For Future Man

Hulu has released a fantastic trailer for their upcoming sci-fi comedy series Future Man in which Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) plays a character named Josh Futturman. He is a janitor by day and a gamer by night that is recruited by a couple of mysterious visitors to travel through time and embark on a mission to prevent the extinction of humanity.

This movie looks like a ton of fun and I like how it pokes fun of itself by saying that it's the exact same plot as the movie The Last Starfighter. There are also nods to a lot of other classic films like Terminator, Back to the Future, Top Gun, and more. Here's the synopsis:

Future Man follows a janitor by day/world-ranked gamer by night who travels through time to prevent the extinction of humanity after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.

10 Actors Who Were Almost Cast in Marvel's Ant-Man
Cinephiles and Marvel movie fans were abuzz when writer/director Edgar Wright teased plot details, production photos, and concept footage from Ant-Man, which promised to be an action comedy take on Marvel's travel-sized superhero. Wright ultimately left the project, though Paul Rudd stayed on as Scott Lang for director Peyton Reed, who delivered the 2015 film that earned over $519 million worldwide. But before Rudd entered the scene, Ant-Man himself almost looked quite a bit different.

There were plenty of actors considered for the film's lead and the no-less important parts of Og Ant-Man Hank Pym, the Wasp and/or Hope van Dyne. Today, we look at 10 actors who were almost cast in Marvel's Ant-Man at one point or another. And there are some pretty wild and unique choices to be discovered. As well as some that are simply no brainers. Would any of them have been better than Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly?

“Free Fire” is a blast with another top notch Brie Larson performance

It’s a little bit of an understatement to say that filmmaker Ben Wheatley has not made mainstream movies so far. His films are niche items, albeit sometimes incredibly compelling ones. This week, he makes what might be his most mainstream flick possibly, an action comedy of sorts in Free Fire. Although still decidedly independent, this is like the Mexican standoff sequence in Reservoir Dogs, but if that was an entire 90 minute movie. It’s a riot of a film. A literal blast, if you will. Helping to lead the charge is Brie Larson, who seems incapable of not turning in very solid work when the camera starts rolling. She’s just dynamite. The movie centers around an arms deal gone bad. Taking place in Boston in 1978, two gangs meet in an abandoned warehouse, ostensibly to buy/sell some guns. Set in motion by middle man Ord (Armie Hammer) one

The pitch came from 21 Jump Street writer Michael Bacall, and several studios got in a bidding war over it before it landed at Universal.

I hope that Gordon-Levitt takes the directing gig!

When Did Channing Tatum Start To Rock?

At some point Channing Tatum went from man-candy (what? It's been said) to movie star. His star rose when Step Up stole the hearts of romantic comedy lovers that had waited too long for a new dance film. Seemed like Save The Last Dance had been decades before, despite the fact it actually released only five years prior. But, let's take a look back at Channing's filmography and see exactly where Tatum became something more.

The Weekend Warrior 9/16/16: Blair Witch, Bridget Jones’s Baby, Snowden, Hillsong: Let Hope Rise

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.

This Past Weekend:

Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood’s real-life drama about airline pilot Sully (Warner Bros.) far surpassed all expectations, making nearly $10 million more than my prediction with an opening weekend of $35 million in 3,525 theaters, also making it one of the biggest openings for a movie opening the weekend after Labor Day. The Screen Gems thriller When the Bough Breaks disappointed compared to some of their similar releases, taking second place with around where we predicted with around $14 million. The lower profile animated film The Wild Life (Summit/Lionsgate) did end up in fifth place behind Don’t Breathe and Suicide Squad, but with a measly $3.3 million in 2,493 theaters. As expected, Relativity’s theatrical return with its own horror/thriller The Disappointments Room

‘Supernatural’ creator Eric Kripke weighs in on how ‘Sandman’ could best be adapted
Back in March, the latest attempt to adapt The Sandman hit another major bump in its long road to the screen when Joseph Gordon-Levitt dropped out of the film project that had just shifted from Warner Bros. to WB subsidiary New Line Cinema. Gordon-Levitt, who was set to direct and star in the big-screen adaptation of the acclaimed Neil Gaiman comic, was candid about how he and the folks at New Line didn’t “see eye to eye on what makes Sandman special.” It was bummer news for Gaiman fans hoping to see Sandman realized onscreen. Gordon-Levitt — whom we’ve seen grow so much as an actor since his 3rd Rock from the Sun days and even since (500) Days of Summer. He's taken on grittier, more introspective, and more varied roles like Inception, The Walk, and his directorial debut, Don Jon — seemed like a perfect fit for Morpheus. The sprawling

Scarlett Johansson Makes History, Is Highest Grossing Actress Ever

Johansson’s role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has no doubt helped propel her into the top 10.
