Pleasantly surprised!

Let me start of by saying that I'm not a huge fan of the original Avatar: TLA series. I watched all and although at times was phenomenal, I felt overall that it was pretty overrated. Don't even get me started on talking about the filler episodes because that was almost half of the show. I don't know if this show has also filler episodes but I'll presumably find out on the way. What I want to say is that this episode was a bast from start to finish. And even though I watched it on german dubbed and I had no subtitle I was still able to understand almost everything and enjoyed pretty much the whole episode. I found Korra to be slightly cliched but not more cliched than Sokka, but I guess that is the purpose of the show, to build her character. There was action, there were touching moments and there was intrigue, overall every ingredient to a good first-episode in my opinion. I hope it doesn't disappoint and I also can't understand how this show is so hated, since it even starts better than the original. We'll just have to watch and see.
