Kirby, a charming ghost from the 1970s apparently sent by Nina to help look after Eve, arrives and immediately charms Annie; however, when a doctor is called out to the baby, Kirby gives him a heart attack. It is clear that he has come to harm the child by dividing the household, inadvertently setting Tom up for an assault charge from which he is saved by vampire lawyer Cutler. Meanwhile, Hal investigates published lies over the train tunnel massacre, questioning a female doctor whom vampires have coerced into a conspiracy of keeping the real perpetrator under wraps.

Did You Know?
Hal, played by Damien Molony
, is reading "The Brothers Karamazov," a thick brick of a novel by Russian literary giant Fyodor Dostoevsky
in one scene where Tom burst into the room. Another character played by Molony shows the same classical taste in "Traveling Light," a 2012 National Theatre stage hit, when his Jewish film loving protagonist in an eastern European village says that he will return to the city and the things he have packed include "The Brothers Karamazov." The rest of the house is fab. Although I wasn't sure about the knife in the wall downstairs.
Oh. Yeah. No, that was me. A vampire got in and tried to hurt Eve so I, you know...
You can be quite scary.
Yeah, new mum. What can I say.
