Sira is alone in an unknown country, with a large debt and no money or way to return to Spain. When her destination takes her to Tetouan, she will meet Candelaria, who runs a boarding house in the city, and will host her. The young woman soon becomes worthy as a seamstress for Candelaria, who sees in her a vein and a way that she can pay her debts and recover her passport. But Sira just wants to go back to Madrid with her mother. With the help of Candelaria and bordering on legality, they manage to get a small amount of money, enough to open a store so that Sira can start sewing. Little by little, she will find peace, stability and lost joy. She will also find friends and some enemies.
