Storyline

Auggie stands in as section chief while Joan insists to partake in jury selection, but wrongly assumes she won't be picked. Annie's girlish delight to be sent to Paris peaks when making contact with Syrian embassy employee Salma Devrient allows buying a designer handbag. It seems even better when Eyal turns up at the same museum gala, but actually Salma only plays CIA against Mossad bidding on information on the whereabouts of terrorist Kanaan, whose cell doesn't remain idle at all. Knockout direction
29 June 2011 | by kevinjo67See all my reviews

Is it just me or did this episode take it to a whole new level? The direction on this one kept my jaw dropping--one of the best chase sequences I've seen on TV on a long time, and the plot twists kept me deeply engaged. Previously, I'd found the show to be amusing and clever...but in this episode they really turned it up to 11. Piper is always wonderful...but now her show is showing some serious teeth. I'm definitely in for the long haul now. USA network keeps churning them out...Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, Royal Pains, Psyche. They got the creative juices flowing in a big way, and if this episode is any indication, Covert Affairs is going to be a standout.
