Peaky Blinders

Moonage Pictures, named after the David Bowie song Moonage Daydream, will formally launch in March after finalising its first commission, which has yet to be revealed.

Tiger Aspect co-managing director Gould and co-managing director of drama Tiplady left the Endemol Shine Group indie in September to set up their own firm.

They have tied with Read, who commissioned Tiger Aspect’s BBC2 drama Peaky Blinders, as well as BBC1 dramas Last Tango In Halifax, Happy Valley and Taboo.

Read exited the BBC in 2016 to pursue his scriptwriting career, which had previously included two independent films - Pusher and Hammer Of The Gods.

Gould said Moonage would enable him to return to his core passion of programme-making.

Kidnap: Director Luis Prieto Talks About Car Stunts, Halle Berry And Doing Everything To Save A Child

Mothers are relentless when it comes to possibly hurting their child, and these kidnappers didn’t think a mother would do anything, and everything, to get her child back.

Halle Berry stars in this action thriller Kidnap with the basic plot of a small band of child kidnappers taking a young child from his mother. The mother would pursue these villains in a high-speed car chase--causing mayhem and destruction with every turn.

The film also stars Sage Correa, Chris McGinn and Lew Temple. It is directed by Luis Prieto (Pusher).

Lrm had an exclusive sit-down interview with director Luis Prieto late last month. He talked about the realistic car stunt scenes, no CGI involved, Halle Berry behind the wheel and what mothers would do if their child was kidnapped.

Kidnap is playing in theaters nationwide today.

Read our conversation below:

Lrm: This film was done back in 2014, right? It’s

Review: A Halle Berry Vehicle with Four Flat Tires, ‘Kidnap’ Is the Worst Movie of the Summer

Review: A Halle Berry Vehicle with Four Flat Tires, ‘Kidnap’ Is the Worst Movie of the Summer
Screeching into theaters towards the end of an unusually strong summer movie season, “Kidnap” is here to remind a nation of spoiled filmgoers that yes, movies really can be this bad. “The Emoji Movie” might have been a boring and brazenly cynical piece of corporate propaganda, but at least it had the courtesy to be offensive. “Kidnap,” on the other hand, doesn’t have the the courtesy to be much of anything.

A Halle Berry vehicle with four flat tires, this oppressively half-assed thriller is fueled by a premise it never bothers to develop into an actual plot. Berry, slumming it as hard as any Oscar winner has ever slummed it before, plays Karla Dyson, a divorced diner waitress who’s struggling to maintain custody over her six-year-old son, Frankie (Sage Correa).

Unfortunately for Karla, that struggle is about to get very real. Her husband, it turns out, isn’t

Intense New Trailer For Halle Berry's New Action Thriller Kidnap

A second trailer has been released for Halle Berry's new thriller Kidnap which follows a single mother’s heroic attempt to save her kidnapped son. It looks like she's going to go to great lengths to save her child. She gets herself into some pretty crazy situations. This actually looks like it could be a really good tense action flick.

After Watching This New Trailer For Kidnap, Remind Us Never To Piss Off Halle Berry

Judging by this trailer for upcoming film Kidnap, it’s probably best not to tangle with Halle Berry. After her son is snatched from an amusement park, she sets off on a one-woman crusade to rescue him. This appears to send her on what can only be described as a roaring rampage of revenge, which apparently leads to high-octane car chases and brutal axe chopping, as she harnesses her inner Jason Voorhees and shows these kidnappers that you absolutely do not mess with her kid.

Personally, I think this looks pretty great and I’m a sucker for action movies where villains seriously underestimate the murderous talents of women (You’re Next is a particular fave). The film comes from director Luis Prieto, whose previous pedigree includes 2012’s underrated Pusher (produced by Nicholas Winding Refn), so there’s definitely reason to be optimistic here. At least, before you consider its production troubles.

Bad Batch Trailer: Keanu Reeves and Jason Momoa Survive a Cannibal Holocaust

Bad Batch Trailer: Keanu Reeves and Jason Momoa Survive a Cannibal Holocaust
After The Bad Batch debuted at the Toronto Film Festival this past fall, buyers sparked a bidding war for the film that was produced by Megan Ellison's Anapurna Pictures and Vice Media. Today we have the first trailer for The Bad Batch, which will be released by Neon, Tim League's new distribution venture, on June 23. This trailer showcases a dystopian world set within a Texas wasteland that has distanced itself from every aspect of society, with a cast lead by newcomer Suki Waterhouse and Jason Momoa.

The highly anticipated follow-up to Ana Lily Amirpour's acclaimed directorial debut, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, The Bad Batch follows Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) as she is unceremoniously dumped in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilized society. While trying to orient her unforgiving environment, she is captured by a savage band of cannibals and quickly realizes she'll have to

Halle Berry drives quickly in the latest trailer for the action thriller, Kidnap...

The film finally gets a Us release at the start of next month. No UK release has thus far been announced.

Previously: August 2016

Coming Distractions: The trailer for Kidnap is a parent’s worst nightmare

Trigger warning for anybody who has a kid, knows a kid, once met a kid, or ever was a kid. This trailer for Kidnap is essentially that nagging fear that is constantly running in the background of every parent’s brain, but amplified by a thousand and then condensed into two minutes. Halle Berry plays a woman who brings her aggressively adorable child to a crowded playground while ominously placid guitar chords flit through the soundtrack. Given the title of the movie, you can probably assume what happens next. The gentle plucking music gives way to machinist clangs and bwomps, and the terrified mother spends the rest of the preview ignoring protocol and causing traffic accidents while chasing after the unfamiliar car she saw her son pushed into.

Directed by Spanish-born filmmaker Luis Prieto (Pusher) from a screenplay by first-time feature writer (and Bad Grandpa associate producer) Knate Gwaltney, this

‘Kidnap’ Trailer: Halle Berry Fights Back After Facing A Mother’s Worst Fear

‘Kidnap’ Trailer: Halle Berry Fights Back After Facing A Mother’s Worst Fear
Halle Berry is no stranger to kicking ass, having played the role of Storm in four X-Men movies. In the upcoming thriller “Kidnap,” Berry plays a loving mother who takes her son to an amusement park but quickly has to shift into survival mode after witnessing him being kidnapped right in front of her eyes. The movie looks to be high-octane thrill ride with several car-chases that don’t end well.

Based on the creative talent behind the picture, “Kidnap” should not disappoint in the action category. Director Luis Prieto previously directed the 2012 crime-thriller “Pusher” about London drug dealer whose life spins out of control, and screenwriter Knate Lee is a film and TV producer who has worked on the “Jackass” show and movies and co-wrote the script for director Josh Boone’s upcoming “X-Men: The New Mutants.

Halle Berry Has a Very Particular Set of Skills in First Trailer For ‘Kidnap’

In a new thriller, Halley Berry sports a very particular set of skills: motherhood. Kidnap follows the actress as a mom whose son gets — you guessed it — kidnapped, and she stops at nothing to get him back, including some wild-looking car chases and shovel beating, as the first trailer shows off.

Set for a release in December by Relativity Media, direction comes from Luis Prieto, who helmed the better-than-it-had-any-right-to-be Pusher remake. Judging from the trailer, there’s at least a bit of self-awareness going on, with Berry spouting the line, “You took the wrong kid.” Also starring Sage Correa, Lew Temple, and Chris McGinn, check out the trailer below.

Kidnap opens on December 2.

Interview: Agyness Deyn on Her Breakthrough in 'Sunset Song', and How Modeling Prepared Her for Film

Jose here. Agyness Deyn doesn’t have a very long list of screen credits, she played Aphrodite in Clash of the Titans, narrated a Rihanna video, and appeared in Pusher. That will undoubtedly change once directors see her gorgeous work in Terence DaviesSunset Song where she plays Chris Guthrie, a Scottish farm girl trying to fend for herself in the years before Wwi. It’s a performance made of composed emotion, endless inner strength, and an otherworldly quality that makes one think of great work by Olivia de Havilland and Ingrid Bergman.

Many people will know Ms. Deyn from her work as a model, back in the mid-aughts there wasn’t an issue of Vogue where she didn’t appear. With her pixie cut, effortless chic and strong personality she brought a “punk/rock” edge to modeling. Since 2012, she’s been focusing her attention on film and Sunset Song is her first leading role.

'Dream On' team turn to crowdfunding to complete film started in 2013

Producer Mark Pegg turns to Indiegogo to complete film that started production more than two years ago.

The team behind sports film Dream On have turned to crowdfunding platform Indiegogo after one of the film’s major backers, Sirk Acquisitions and Management Plc, were served with a winding-up petition halfway through filming.

The shoot originally began in May 2013 at Elstree Studios and was scheduled to run for six weeks with a budget of $3.9m (£2.5m).

However, the project was paused four weeks later in June when it was hit with the news that Sirk Acquisitions and Management Plc, which had planned to run a golf tournament called The Dream On Challenge alongside the film’s release, would not be providing funding.

The film, based on John Richardson’s novel Dream On: One Hacker’s Challenge to Break Par in a Year, tells the story of a non-professional golfer attempting to play a level-par round of golf
