  • English is the original audio. While watching the French version, pay attention to the characters' mouths. You will notice that they're actually speaking English. The film was produced by French companies but has an American director and the original audio is in English. Director Mark Osborne told that Jeff Bridges was the first actor he chose to voice the film, then Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard and the others were cast. In the early stages of production, Mark Osborne's daughter Maddie and his son Riley, helped doing the temporary scratch voices for the roles of the Little Girl and the Little Prince. His daughter's voice began to change as she was growing up, so she was replaced by 12-year-old Mackenzie Foy. His son was kept as the voice of The Little Prince because his voice didn't change as he was 11 years old at the time. This information can be found on the press kit from the Cannes Film Festival official website here. The original/English voice cast was announced in June 2013 here. The French cast was mentioned for the first time by French newspaper Le Figaro in December 2014, when the French trailer was released. See here. Edit (Coming Soon)
