The Consistory concludes, as Della Rovere leaves to inform King Charles of Rodrigo's plans to study both claims.

Columbus would not arrive in the New World until a month later and did not even realize that he had found a new world immediately. Certainly, news of this discovery would not have made it back across the Atlantic so quickly. See more
