The Conjuring 3 Gets a Fall 2020 Release Date

The Conjuring 3 Gets a Fall 2020 Release Date
A few weeks back we passed along the excellent news that producer James Wan and director Michael Chaves's The Conjuring 3 starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will begin shooting in Atlanta this summer. And that news makes more than a bit of sense today as we have just learned that the upcoming and much-anticipated third entry in The Conjuring main flagship series will be possessing a theater near you on September 11, 2020. Yeah, September 11th. Kind of seems like a bad omen to me, but what do I know.

Anyhow, The Conjuring 3 will not only be the third entry in the The Conjuring series (duh), but it will also be the eighth entry in The Conjuring Universe as a whole. And for those who might need a refresher course, The Conjuring Universe currently includes James Wan's The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 with Wilson and Farmiga, and John

The Five Best Sam Worthington Movies of His Career

Sam Worthington was kind of surprising when he showed up on the scene since he didn’t seem to have much of a range when it came to his acting ability. But lo and behold that lack of range in his facial expressions changed quickly and so did the overall tone of his ability. He proved very early on that he’s able to do far more than just get on screen and strike a pose or make a face that you’re supposed to divine meaning from, and while the remakes of Clash and Wrath of the Titans weren’t exactly well-received he

Aquaman 2 Moves Forward with Original Writer

Aquaman 2 is moving forward. Warner Bros. has tapped David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the first movie, to pen the screenplay for the sequel. While the studio had high hopes for Aquaman, and there was early indication that they were going to look at doing a sequel, this is the first major development we've had when it comes to the movie actually entering the process of becoming a reality.

According to a new report, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick will write Aquaman 2. Johnson-McGoldrick co-wrote the first movie alongside Will Beall, working from a story by Geoff Johns, Beall, and director James Wan. At least for now, he's going to fly solo on this first draft, but it's always possible somebody else could step in down the road. However, Johnson-McGoldrick makes the most sense, as he's frequently collaborated with Wan in the past, having also penned the scripts for The Conjuring 2

Ready Player One Author Is Bringing Armada to the Big Screen Next
With the adaptation of Ernest Cline's Ready Player One already proving to be a success for Warner Bros., Universal Pictures is moving forward with an adaptation of the author's 2015 novel Armada. The studio has brought aboard writer Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) to write the screenplay. Universal doesn't have a director attached at this time, but the attachment of a new writer signals that the studio is ready to move forward after several years in development.

While the Ernest Cline novel was published in 2015, the author struck a deal with Universal for the movie rights way back in 2012, just days after he signed a seven-figure deal with Crown Publishing for the book rights. No screenwriter was set at that time, but our 2012 report reveals that Bluegrass Pictures' Scott Stuber and Farrah Films' Dan Farrah were set to produce, although now Dylan Clark is set to produce for Bluegrass alongside Farrah,
