Phoebe Waller-Bridge Has a Hilarious Story About Why She Needed a CGI Fox on Fleabag

  • Popsugar
At the very end of the second season of Fleabag, star and creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge is greeted by a fox while waiting for a bus in the middle of London. It's a brief scene, but it adds the perfect, poignant touch to the end of Amazon's dark comedy. And, as it happens, the story behind that animal cameo is actually pretty great.

While appearing on The Tonight Show on Thursday, Waller-Bridge told Jimmy Fallon all about why she ended up needing to use a CGI fox rather than the real thing. "Naively, I was like, 'Yeah, we'll just get a couple of real foxes and give them the notes,'" she joked. "We've got a really good director and the script is strong."

‘American Idol’ Top 5 predictions: Laci Kaye Booth and Madison VanDenburg will be eliminated on May 12

Laci Kaye Booth is almost certain to face elimination on “American Idol” this Sunday according to the results of our poll of viewers. She only made the final five on last Sunday’s episode when Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie decided to use their one judges save of the season to keep her in the competition. But she has earned only a measly 6% in our survey of “American Idol” fans heading into the Top 5 show on May 12.

The other contestant joining her in the bottom two is likely to be Madison VanDenburg who merited a mere 8% in our poll results. All five singers still in the competition will take to the stage on Sunday to perform a trio of tunes. Each will sing a song from the Elton John catalog, another picked out by mentor Bobby Bones and a third in honor of Mother’s Day.

‘American Idol’ winner predictions: Alejandro Aranda better watch out for Laine Hardy
On the May 5 episode of “American Idol,” the Top 6 sang two songs each: one that was inspirational and the other from the summer of 1969 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival. Four of the half dozen contestants made it through based on their votes from the public: Alejandro Aranda, Wade Cota, Laine Hardy and Madison VanDenburg. A fifth, Laci Kaye Booth, got the judges save while the other artist in the bottom two, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, was eliminated.

Which ‘American Idol’ comeback kid has the best chance to go the farthest? Alyssa Raghu or Laine Hardy?

Which ‘American Idol’ comeback kid has the best chance to go the farthest? Alyssa Raghu or Laine Hardy?
It is hard to be rejected. But if you want to get back in the game, you do what the song says: Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again.

That is just what “American Idol” contestants Alyssa Raghu, 16, and Laine Hardy, 18, have done.

Alyssa, whom Katy Perry affectionately nicknamed “The Sauce” last season, never made it beyond the to the top 24 after a so-so rendition of Coldplay’s “Yellow.” Instead of giving up, she to listened the judges and made upgrades to her stage presence by taking dancing lessons and performing in over 200 live shows.
