"Paint Not Wild Child!"
14 December 2012 | by gattonero975See all my reviews

Wow . What a mess-terpiece! lol While it nice to see a young child involved in something creative, I felt bad for this hyper-little kid. He seems to have boundless energy. maybe they give him sugar and watch out! lol

The parents, in this case Maciek Godlewski, just literally let young Lucas run wild. In all aspects.

The music was OK. Almost as wild and erratic as young Lucas.

I can somewhat understand that in that letting the child's mind run wild and free, you can capture, hopefully, something very creative in the process.

If it were my child, I would have least put some goggles on him and a thin filter-mask because the child is wild and splatters like crazy the paint and it's bound to get in his eyes or mouth!(and it looks like it did!) I was just cringing seeing those scenes. I would have also put some knee and elbow protectors because with all that paint on the floor it's just too damn slippery! In one scene poor Lucas slips and falls and ,understandably, just says, "I don't like it". I don't blame him.

So, on one end I applaud the director but another end, I totally chastise him for being a irresponsible parent.

I understand that one must be "free" to create and what not but come on, it's like letting loose a new puppy and letting him run wild and that's just not being responsible to me. Creativity at what cost. Not good. Teach and show and learn. That to me is more creative.

So Wild Child: Paint Not!
