A documentary of the underrated 'Return to Oz,' including behind the scenes footage, discussion of how the movie came to be and its production and marketing struggles, and the famous filmmakers and more that were attached to it. There is footage of interviews with Fairuza Balk and Nicol Williamson, and of John Fricke (Oz Historian) interviewing the surviving munchkins, at Ozfest in 2006. There's also footage from 'The Mickey Mouse Club: Rainbow Road to Oz(1957) and more. It's also packed with clips, stills, book references and more from 'Wizard of Oz' and 'Return to Oz'. There are clips of movies that were somehow related to that genre and time.

When I first saw the Wheelers it was kind of strange because... Oz has turned into a mad place at this point and there're these gang of riff-raffs. Well, to my eye, anyway. At least that's what I would think anyway if I saw guys on wheels coming up to me on the street. But I have to say when I first saw them when I was little, I don't know if it was the makeup or not, but I thought they were pretty cute. I guess I just had strange taste in guys but that was my first thought. "Ooh, they're cute....

Later, after the film had already been released, 'Gabe Rodriguez' found a way to make the footage work and then edited a new version with Pacentine's interview inserted throughout the film. However, Rodriguez only considers this second version to be a favor to Pacentine; the original released version is the true director's cut. See more
