Storyline

When Señor Chang assigns a project which requires the class to partner up in pairs of two, Jeff conspires to become Britta's partner. Much to Jeff's dismay, his valiant attempt backfires and he ends up with an unwelcome partner. Meanwhile, Shirley and Annie help Britta with her latest social justice cause. Written by NBC Publicity

I always wish Britta would have remained a stronger character...

...like she was in the pilot. I think she worked much better as a sharp, worldly foil for Jeff than she does as the group's de facto whipping post that she'll become in later episodes/seasons. We see the start of this trend here with the acknowledgement of her phony activism.

Jeff/Pierce 'Spanish class' storyline: B-

Britta/Annie/Shirley storyline: B-

Overall episode grade: 80%
