John Cena is a Stern Firefighter in First Trailer for 'Playing with Fire'

"No shenanigans under my watch!" Paramount has debuted an official trailer for Playing with Fire, a new comedy from the director of such classics as She's the Man, Race to Witch Mountain, You Again, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. John Cena stars in this as a "stern, no-nonsense firefighter captain" who, along with his elite team of "smoke jumpers" firemen, becomes the temporary guardians of three rambunctious kids - Brynn played by Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead from Deadpool), Will played by Christian Convery, and Zoey played by Finley Rose Slater. Sounds like a fun one, right? Get ready for some awkward laughs. The cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo, Tyler Mane, and Judy Greer. This is one of those high concept, fun-for-everyone studio comedies that you'll either love or hate. Honestly, the big dog is probably going to be the best part about it - which isn't a bad thing.

Not that anyone’s keeping track, but it’s safe to say this was the first album release party that began with a guest appearance by a puppet.

A Complete Guide to Every Song Written By Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello During Their Partnership

A Complete Guide to Every Song Written By Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello During Their Partnership
Though his music can be heard in all corners of the globe, Paul McCartney’s songwriting process is impressively homegrown. When he teamed with Elvis Costello for sessions that would ultimately yield his 1989 album Flowers in the Dirt, the pair met at McCartney’s personal studio: a converted corn mill dubbed Hog Hill Mill, a short drive from his farm in rural southern England. Armed with nothing more high-tech than a pencil, paper and acoustic guitar, two of the world’s most influential composers climbed the steps to a small office tucked above the studio and pulled tunes out of thin air.

The Fate of the Furious gets an international trailer with sneak peek at Camila Cabello and Pitbull’s new song

Universal’s upcoming eighth installment in the Fast & Furious saga, The Fate of the Furious, has just received an international trailer. Despite the video being relatively short (clocking in at around one minute), it manages to both show off never-before-seen footage and give a sneak peek at production on the music video for one of the film’s original songs. Watch it below…

The trailer places quite a bit of emphasis on the relationship between Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), a dynamic that previous spots and trailers for Fate failed to highlight, instead showcasing the over-the-top action set pieces fans have come to expect.

Many were surprised when the Fate team announced they’d be heading to Cuba to shoot scenes, but the beautiful scenery on display in the trailer indicates it was a good decision. Toretto and Ortiz couldn’t have chosen a better honeymoon spot.

Pitch Review – TV – Fox Is Gambling Big, But It Looks To Be A Good Bet

If only a show could believe in the shtick it has, and not decide that it not only needs two, but needs one to be a clever twist. Pitch has enough going on without throwing out a last-minute zinger. Worse, the show doesn’t need it, it doesn’t help anything, and it runs the risk of leaving a bad taste in your mouth. I’m tempted to tell you the point at which you should stop watching, and await the next episode.

As I said, Pitch has enough going on, and somewhat surprisingly, what with the overblown cliches that are tricky to avoid, it’s a refreshing joyride. It may seem like damning with faint praise, but the show’s best attribute is just that it adeptly dodges turning into something laughable. That isn’t because it’s doing anything wrong, but because the subject matter simply means that

Exclusive Interview with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez

Robert Rodriguez interview

Movie director Robert Rodriguez is one of our favourites. His resume includes Desperado, Sin City, The Faculty, Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror and Machete, and eclectic range of genre films that all hit the right spot.

Rodriguez is somewhat of a maverick film director. He’s not one to play by the expected rules of the movie world, be that in what he puts on the screen or how he interacts with his peers. During his career he has left both the screen writers and directors guild in favour of blazing his own path. His latest venture has been to create his own television network ‘El Rey’ which caters to a Latin American audience.

He used the platform to bring back a project from his past From Dusk Till Dawn; the film starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino as brothers and criminal Seth and Richard Gecko.
