Did You Know?
The amount of upgrades released as part of Birth by Sleep's Final Mix version is the least amount of upgrades compared to the previous Final Mix versions, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+
(2007). As a result it lacks a number of common Final Mix features such as new regular enemies, and new synthesis items in the Moogle Shop (as purchasing Commands replaced the Item synthesis for Birth by Sleep). See more

The Final Mix version of Birth by Sleep was later remastered in HD as part of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix
on the PS3 and was also released outside of Japan for the first time. This version would greatly modify the controls for the PS3's control system, as well removing the previous multiplayer features as this is now a console instead of a handheld game (places like the Mirage Arena are now single-player only). It would later be ported over to the PS4 and released as part of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
