Andre Royo nails the main character's innocence and loyalty. Loved him in The Wire and need to see more of his raw talent. The film's twists and turns are close to what real life trauma could happen. Beautifully shot and edited and I really enjoyed watching the way the director kept reverting back to earlier scenes. A pleasant surprise to watch, on recommendation from an industry insider. The director's cut was the copy I reviewed and was blown away by the ability to keep the continuity clean, on an independent film shot in prime LA location. Am hoping this gets picked up by a major studio and shot full length. I can only imagine how powerful the characters will be.
