Mild-mannered bookstore owner and comic book dealer Flecks Crushe leads a double life as a pathological mob enforcer for his ruthless boss, Senator Corman. When Flecks is seen acting strangely his cohorts question his sanity. After Flecks kills a member of his crew for working with his arch-nemesis Romero, Mike & Lenny decide it's high time to fit Flecks with a pine overcoat. As the dark and ludicrous world of Face Eater unfolds, the mobsters fight it out the only way they can. And you will be on the edge of your seat trying to decide who will avoid having their face eaten! Written by Jon McClure

B-Movie Classic
2 January 2010 | by cworldSee all my reviews

Beware "A" Movie only viewers, RUN don't walk from this quirky flick, as it might upset your delicate sensibilities. But for the more Brave of Heart, consider this a possible B-Movie Classic. Face Eater pokes fun at all manner of Genre, and enters the medium with tongue poked firmly in cheek. McClure is over the top as Flecks Crushe (dig that handle), Comic-Book Dealer to the public at large, with Gang Enforcer as his ultra secret alter ego. His cronies are dumber than a post. Throw in real locations, a Tarot Reader, stiff B-Dialogue, Sci-Fi Horror elements & a bizarre ending - You have a PARODY unlike all the Hollywood entries at large. With characters like Romero, Flecks, Corman, Cronenberg, Carpenter, Lois & Clark, one should not expect Oscar material, but you can expect an unusual ride ...
