'2 Guns' (2013) & 'Logan' (2017) are both R-Rated comic book movies that filmed in Amite City, Louisiana. Even both filming scenes at the very same hotel where Bobby Trench & Deb have sex which is also where Wolverine met X-23 & Ex-Alkali Transigen nurse (X-23's guardian). It's also noteworthy that not only are they both comic book movies but they're R-Rated comic book movies, which even 6 & 2 years after release in 2019, is rare w/ few & far between releases of such films.

When Denzel (Bobby) is in the desert and he confronts the two men riding a dune buggy, one of the men suggests that he is Muslim. Then Bobby says "As-Salamu alaykum" Denzel Whasington played Malcolm X, a famous Muslim in 1992's "Malcolm X". The phrase means "Peace be upon you" in Arabic.

Bobby's (Denzel Washington's) apartment is on the second floor of an apartment building located at the end of Picayune St. In the central business district of downtown New Orleans. Only one block long the alley like appearance of the street has caused it to be used in many blockbuster movies particularly because the secluded block is easy to close and dress for whatever use necessary. It can be seen in Looper (Bruce Willis' apt.), The Mechanic (w Jason Stathom, and many others.

The same hotel is used for filming in '2 Guns' (2013) & 'Logan' (2017). In '2 Guns' it's called The Aloha Hotel & in 'Logan' it's called The Liberty Hotel (in reference to the canonical events of 'X-Men- (2000) which occurs in both of the new & old timelines in that cinematic universe & how it foreshadows Wolverine meeting X-23 & her guardian there. [Bonus Trivia: This would be considered a meta easter egg in that it simultaneously plays off of Prof. X's deteriorating mental health w/ our real life confusion over the timelines adding to the fun only for it to be revealed in hindsight & easter egg hunting that he not only could've meant Magneto is waiting for them 29 years earlier at the real thing but that X-23 is waiting for them in the present at the relevant hotel w/ the namesake of the 3rd Act setting of the very 1st X-Men film.]

Whilst opening a deposit box at the bank, Bobby (Denzel Washington) jokes about not getting a free toaster and only getting 5% off when opening an account - a clear reference to Spider Man 2 when Aunt May and Peter are unable to open an account but try to get the free toaster advertised.

In the movie trailer to the film there is scene used that is not used in the actual film where Stig (Wahlberg) tells Trench (Washington) that he was "Special Forces." Another version of the scene is used in the movie where Stig does not tell Trench who he actually is. This version may have been changed due to Stig actually being a Navy SEAL, as Special Forces applies to the Army. This scene in particular is the desert scene after their bank heist where Trench reveals to Stig that he is a DEA agent.
