This thirty-minute documentary is a celebration of Billy Wilder's THE APARTMENT and features interviews with Shirley MacLaine, Walter Mirisch, Hope Holiday, Johnny Seven, Edie Adams as well as Drew Casper, Robert Osborne and Molly Haskell among others. If you're a fan of THE APARTMENT then you'll enjoy this documentary as it at least gives you a good idea of what the production was like as well as several behind-the-scenes stories. I really enjoyed this for what it was, although there's no question that the film probably could have done with a much more detailed documentary. Still, there are plenty of very good stories told here including a certain Hollywood scandal that gave Wilder the idea for the picture. I really liked hearing about Wilder's directing style and his way of handling actors. There are very good stories told from those who worked on the film and the film historians do a nice job talking about the movie's place in history.
