The Trouble With Calimari
27 October 2016 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

Dave (Joby Baker) and his wife Linda (Julie Parrish) decide to sell their Calimari- an Italian sports car. Larry (Ronnie Schell) badly wants to buy it, but Dave refuses to sell it to a friend. He runs an ad in the newspaper and its quickly answered by a bubbly, vivacious Miss Audrey Zelner (Leslie Parrish- no relation to Julie) who buys the car. The flirtatious blonde causes domestic discourse in the home. This is the first episode of the series solely written by series creators and famed writing team Bill Perskey and Sam Denoff. The episode was centered on the story line more than crafting situations for comedy. It has a good flow with some light comedic lines, but not one of the funniest of the series.
