After a rise trough more prestigious TV stations all the way to L.A., a scandal forces news anchor Chuck Darling to return to his natal Pittsburgh. There he has pseudo-divine star status, but is hated by his also original co-anchor Kelly Carr, who fells passed-over. For would be-star reporter Gary Crezyzewski, it's another source of cruel abuse, although unintentional. The plot thickens when Kelly's daughter's paternity is questioned. Written by KGF Vissers

At the start of the pilot episode of "Back to You", we're in Pittsburgh-1996, at a news desk on New Year's Eve where anchorwoman Kelly Carr (Patricia Heaton) says goodbye to her partner of six years, Chuck Darling (Kelsey Grammar). Sportscaster Marsh McGinley (Fred Willard) is also there. 10 years later, Darling is in L.A. and-as revealed on YouTube-commits a profanity-laced blooper on live television. Now, he's back at his old station where he reunites with McGinley and Carr. It's an uneasy one with the latter. There's also a young news director who previously worked the news' online division (Josh Gad), a Hispanic weathergirl who prefers to be called a meteorologist-even though she's not really one (Ayda Field), and a reporter who wants to be anchorman so he can avoid going on camera in front of empty buildings in bad weather (Ty Burrell). There's also a twist at the end that I hope doesn't dominate the series premise throughout the season. Nice chemistry between pros Grammar, Heaton, and Willard and the rest of the supporting cast with a special mention of Burrell whom I previously liked on "Out of Practice". Pretty funny pilot that I hope leads to more hilarious episodes and better ratings for this Fox sitcom.
