Did You Know?
The show has some striking similarities to Danny Phantom
(2004). For example, Helen's father has the same first name as Danny Phantom, while his father is overweight like Jack Fenton, Danny Phantom's father, while Helen's mother resembles Paulina. In one episode, Helen's dad has to play a meat-eater while her mother plays a vegetarian, parallel of Danny's relationship with Sam and her vegetarian beliefs, especially in Danny Phantom's first episode Danny Phantom: Mystery Meat
(2004). Furthermore, haunted houses and ghosts mentioned in multiple episodes could allude to Fenton Works and the Ghost Zone. Martha Speaks: The Opera Contest/Maestro Martha
(2010) has a plot line almost identical to Fanning the Flames
, with Pablum and Weaselgraft taking the place of Ember McLain. Lastly, Pablum and Weaselgraft's attire during the PBS Kids outro of Martha Speaks: The Penguin Always Rings Twice/The Martha Code
(2009) resembles Jack Fenton's usual attire. See more
