Jamie's (Emma Bell) marriage falls apart when she finds out her husband has been cheating on her. She heads home to her family with her young son in order to figure out what to do next. She then meets Whit (Nick Ballard), a man of charm and connections who becomes overly protective with her. Whit convinces Jamie that her ex-husband has plans to kidnap their son. As soon as Jamie starts to fall for Whit, she learns the horrible truth that Whit is her cousin and a paranoid schizophrenic who has been in and out of mental institutions for most of his adult life. Though Jamie tries to distance herself from Whit, her enamored cousin isn't ready to quit their love and will do anything - even commit murder - to uphold his sworn promise to protect her. It's a lifetime type movie but I expected a lot more from it. It was good. Not great and it was slow. I didn't think the acting was the greatest but I have seen much worse. I think if there was a little more to the story line it would of been better but just came off really rushed at the end.
