Storyline

Shortly after Ryan Wolfe, who has turned professional TV reporter, explained on air the clever CSI analysis of mirror reflections in a video recording of the carjacking of student Sherry Williamson, the corpse of her aggressor, Jason Billings, is found on the beach, the murderer even urinated on him. Derek Hewitt confesses to the vigilante killing after his DNA was found nearby, but his DNA doesn't match. Wolfe's cameraman is badly wounded by a spiked trap on the beach. Mechanical engineering student Cole Telford, who takes care of Billings' speedboat, does match and discloses a Cuban connection. Meanwhile Wolfe reconsiders his career move and his blemished CSI record... Written by KGF Vissers

Will Wolfe Get His Job Back?
14 December 2007 | by ccthemovieman-1See all my reviews

Ryan Wolfe is now a television crime analyst!! What an idiot. I hope he stays there. He never was a particular solid CSI person like Horatio, Alex, Calleigh or Speedo. Anyway, after being canned by CSI, he has a new job on TV. He exposes a carjacker on a TV program and the next thing you know, that guy winds up dead on the beach, apparently beaten up by a mob.

It turns out that isn't the case as the evidence leads to a death at sea, and winds up involving a relative, a fast boat and a bunch of drugs. It also has a terrifying scene with a cameraman caught in a trap that was guarding the drugs.

The important part of the story to regular CSI-Miami viewers, I would think, would be what is going to happen to Wolfe. Later in the episode, he is shown to be a good guy at heart, a man who knows he's made to be a cop but made so many mistakes at CSI that, right now, he's someone who can't get his job back.....but there is hope. The show ends with a nice short talk with he and Horatio.
