Life was easy for Jackson White. With looks, brains, and athletic ability, the world's possibilities seemed limitless. But, when he came to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry, he was so seduced by money and status that he lost track of who he was. Now, with both his personal and professional lives on the edge of ruin, he's been called home to care for his dying father. not different by many other independent films. a story as pretext for reflection. about past, family, happiness, love, decisions and choices and limits and escapes. about the other. so, familiar things. but useful. for Beau Bridges performance. for the spirit of an age. for questions. for decent acting. for the flavor of a lonely America. sure, it is not the expected film for many genres of public. but it is beautiful. the beauty of small details, familiar situations, words as as wings, need to be happy and to understand your life in a coherent image. and, maybe, it is enough. for the state after the end credits.
