First Full Trailer for Netflix Psychological Thriller Earthquake Bird Starring Alicia Vikander

We’ve got the first full trailer for you to check out from the Netflix indie thriller Earthquake Bird. The film is directed and adapted by Wash Westmoreland from a novel written by Susanna Jones. The film stars Alicia Vikander, Riley Keough (Logan Lucky), Jack Huston (The Irishman), Kiki Sukezane (Westworld), and Ken Yamamura (Godzilla). Here’s the synopsis:

A psychologically unsettling and atmospheric thriller set in 1989 Tokyo from director Wash Westmoreland, Earthquake Bird follows Lucy Fly (Alicia Vikander), an enigmatic expat haunted by a painful past, who enters into an intense relationship with Teiji (Naoki Kobayashi), a handsome local photographer. Lucy’s imperturbable exterior begins to crack when a naive newcomer, Lily Bridges (Riley Keough), becomes entangled in their lives and ends up missing — suspected dead.

This looks kind of creepy and weird and probably has twists and turns, but I just don’t know if I’m sold on the trailer alone.

2020 Oscar Predictions: Best Supporting Actress (Updated: October 1)

2020 Oscar Predictions: Best Supporting Actress (Updated: October 1)
While the Best Supporting Actress Oscar is often awarded to an ingenue, it can also be a way to reward a more season performer who has been overlooked by the academy in the past. Indeed, that is just what happened at the 2019 Academy Awards when Regina King took home this Oscar for her scene-stealing performance in “If Beale Street Could Talk.” (Scroll down for the most up-to-date 2020 Oscars predictions for Best Supporting Actress.)

While King was clearly a featured player in her picture, two of her rival nominees, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, could easily have submitted themselves in lead for their roles in “The Favourite.” But the studio decided to campaign only their co-star, Olivia Colman, for Best Actress and this proved to be a winning strategy. Stone and Weisz were both Oscar winners already with the former prevailing in lead for “La La Land” in 2017 and the latter

Cats Sneak Peek Goes Behind-the-Scenes of the Feisty Feline Musical
Brace yourselves, as we have a brand new look at director Tom Hooper's Cats. This adaptation of the legendary Broadway musical has garnered a lot of attention ever since the first trailer dropped in July. And rightfully so. We have some of the world's finest actors and performers being turned into cats using groundbreaking digital effects. It's as crazy as it sounds and, as we see in this featurette, everyone is taking it very seriously.

This video comes with a whole lot less so-called "digital fur technology" as it's more of a behind-the-scenes look at how this is all going to come together. We see Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, James Corden and more discussing, in a very serious way, the process of bringing Cats to life. The choreography, without the CGI cat stuff, is impressive, that much is certain. Much like John Hammond with Jurassic Park, they've spared no

5 Best Picture Oscar Winners That Launched at the Toronto Film Festival (Photos)
While Cannes, Berlin, and Venice are all more exotic and glamorous film festivals, the Toronto International Film Festival has become the kingmaker when it comes to the Academy Awards. Here are five of those films from the past decade.

While “Slumdog” premiered at Telluride, it was at Toronto where the buzz hit full swing, winning the People’s Choice Award before grossing $377 million worldwide and taking home eight Oscars.

Justice League cinematographer cried “all the way through” Joss Whedon’s theatrical cut

There were are a lot of very disappointed fans after the Justice League came out. Many are now hoping to see Zack Snyder’s incomplete cut of the movie as the theatrical cut is apparently quite different from the film Snyder had planned before stepping away.

One person who shares fan disappointment is Snyder’s cinematographer on the movie Fabian Wagner. Speaking to Comic Book Debate, he was asked if he had seen the film, he responded: “I have, unfortunately.”

He was then asked how much the film had changed from when he had last seen it as Wagner wasn’t involved in the additional shooting: “It’s really hard to say because I was watching it and I think I was crying all the way through.

Jason Momoa says the Snyder Cut of Justice League is “ssssiiicccckkkkkk”

Almost two years out from the movie, one would have to assume that by this point, all but the most optimistic of fans have resigned themselves to the fact that we’re never likely going to see Zack Snyder’s original vision for Justice League with the release of the fabled ‘Snyder Cut’.

However, when you’re the King of Atlantis, it seems you’ve got enough sway to get the Snyder Cut out from under lock and key, as Jason Momoa has taken to Instagram to share a video of himself and his friend and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League director, during which he thanks Snyder for showing him his original version of the film and describing the cut as “ssssiiicccckkkkkk”.

5 reasons why Brad Pitt could win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’

5 reasons why Brad Pitt could win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
As “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” continues to rake it in at the box office ($100 million and counting), it’s also generating some pretty serious awards conversation – and questions. There’s one in particular that keeps popping up.

Is Brad Pitt leading or supporting? “No decision has been made,” a campaign insider tells Gold Derby. “There’s still a lot of time to see how these races play out.”

Like many, I would argue that he’s a co-lead. He’s clearly part of the central action of the film, and has comparable screen time to the top-billed Leonardo DiCaprio. However, Pitt’s frequent onscreen absences would make a supporting campaign less of an outright category crime (see Mahershala Ali in “Green Book” and Alicia Vikander in “The Danish Girl”) and more of an everyday award infraction (think Viola Davis in “Fences” and Patricia Arquette in “Boyhood.”)

In fact,
