Storyline

The US Marines are staging a small show in Central Park. During one of their games, a young boy finds the body of a noncommissioned officer. The Marine was highly decorated having served in many campaigns. The absence of any defensive wounds is puzzling to Mac Taylor as the victim was a very strong, well trained and combat hardened Marine. The second case involves a burnt body inside a car. Facial reconstruction reveals a shocking answer. The victim has a familiar face. Written by Ploy P.

The song they play at the beginning of the episode is "The Army Song," also known as "The Caisson Song." Not the right music for "Fleet Week," when they should play "Anchors Aweigh." See more »

Quotes

[Don and Mac are talking about a dead Marine]
Detective Don Flack: Unfortunately, lowlifes also know it's Fleet Week. Service men are easy targets because they're easy to spot.
Det. Mac Taylor: A uniform isn't a bullseye. It's a badge of honor.
Detective Don Flack: Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Det. Mac Taylor: If you attack one of us, you've attacked us all.

Goof
9 August 2006 | by lince18See all my reviews

There's a Goof in this Episode, when the burned body is discovered in the car, they said that only the inner car of the car has burned and it has done so violently because the windows were closed and so the fire stopped when the interior run out of Oxygen....but, every time there's a Fhlasback showing the car burning, the right window is OPEN. Commenting the episode, I think that the writers lost an opportunity to make a more emotional ending although is possible that they avoid it because crossing images of two official funerals with pipe sound and the rest will had been very obvious. At least this episode must have been shooted at New York, because there are some images taken aboard The USS Intrepid Museum ¿or not?
