Storyline

Perodic flashbacks to moving-in day on Wisteria Lane and how the control-freak Bree, the ambitious Lynette, the neurotic Susan, and the narcissistic Gabrielle met Mary Alice Young for the first time and how she brought them all together. Other flashbacks show the day that Melanie Foster was murdered back in Chicago and the real reason behind her death, and how Betty decided to live a life on the lam rather than turn in her simpleton son Caleb. Meanwhile in the present, Bree checks herself into a psychiatric hospital, and later gets some frightening news when she learns that Danielle has run away with Matthew. Goofs

When Betty Applewhite is shown a photograph of her son's girlfriend's body, the body is partially covered with a jacket, covering the victim's left arm and only exposing a few fingers on that hand. Her son Matthew is later shown committing the murder (in a flashback), and his jacket is laid over the body with the majority of the victim's left arm shown - much more than just the few fingers shown in the original photo. Alternate Versions

While "Remember: Part 1 & 2" aired as one continuous 2-hour-special on ABC, international broadcasters like German pay-TV Premiere showed a 2-part-version which has several scenes moved from the first hour to the second and vice versa (e.g. Zach's last phone call to his dad appears much later in the 2-part-version). The scene where Gabrielle takes Xiao Mei to the doctor is missing completely in the 2-part-version, probably due to time constraints. See more »
